Hi, I am Barbra Ardila. I am a wife, a mother of four beautiful children, co-owner of On The Ball Soccer, Inc. , President of our Home-Owner's Association, PTO
member at our local elementary school, a Family Manager Coach and founder of The iMOM. By the grace of God and the systems I have learned over the
years......I get it all done!
I was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. When I was around 2 years old, my family moved to Richardson, Texas. I graduated from the University of North Texas
(class of '93) with a BA in Counselor Education.
I met my husband in college and we married soon after graduation. After college I worked for several years as the Office Administrator for Promise Keepers. Our
first child arrived in 1998 and at that point I came home to be a full-time stay at home mommy. We then proceeded to add to our family in 2000, 2002 and 2004.
We have 3 boys and 1 daughter.
Around the time my boys were 1 and 3 years old and I was pregnant with our daughter, it became VERY clear that I needed a system. By the end of the day I was
exhausted and felt defeated as I looked around my home at cranky children, a hungry husband and a load of things on my to-do list that never seemed to get done . I
knew I needed some guidance. I read several books, made beautiful chore charts and meal plans, I even searched the web to see how a daycare ran their days and
thought I would try to model our family schedule the same way. I created systems to work for our family life and it was fantastic! My children were engaged in
meaningful activities, meals were planned and cooked, laundry was not as bad, I had time with friends, time alone and my to-do list had things marked off!
Due to my never ending schedule with 4 active children, 2 businesses and many community responsibilities, I now have simple systems that allow me to get more
accomplished. I enjoy the challenge of finding easier ways to do the things I have to get done and learn how to let go of the things that are just not necessary.
For the last 15 years, I have helped many families, college students, and newly weds work through financial struggles, learn how and what to feed their family, figure
out how to schedule their days, organize their homes and a host of other real life issues. At the beginning of 2007, I completed Family Manager® University and
became the first certified coach in McKinney, TX. In 2009, I joined Faithful Organizers (an international association of Christian Professional Organizers).
I am a woman with a mission. I would love to see women from all walks of life recognize the role we take in building strong families. I would love to see women
take pride in their work and recognize what an honorable and worthy role we play in the lives of others.
I am NOT perfect. I am, however, deeply committed to my family and will work hard to help us develop individually and as a team.
